π Έπ ³ InDesign
The InDesign module contains all the connection strings necessary to link EasyCatalog panels to the Pricelist Server. Through these strings, it is possible to synchronize catalog data directly with InDesign panels, keeping descriptions, prices, and compositions updated without manual intervention.
The strings are divided into four main sections:
β’ General connection string
β’ Items panel
β’ Headers panel
β’ Compositions panel
Each section provides the unique link to the corresponding table of the Pricelist Server.
π General Connection String
Contains the access and configuration parameters to establish communication between InDesign (via EasyCatalog) and Pricelist Server. The string includes all necessary information to identify the catalog and authenticate the connection.
π Configuration Procedure
1. Open Adobe InDesign.
2. Open the EasyCatalog panel β Data Panel.
3. From the panel menu, select Configure.
4. In the configuration window, locate the section dedicated to the connection (Database or Connection String).
5. Copy the provided string into the InDesign β Connection String field and paste it into the corresponding field.
6. Save the settings and close the window.
7. Verify that the connection is established correctly (the status should be βconnectedβ).
From this moment, the EasyCatalog panel is connected to the Pricelist Server and can receive updated data.

β’ In case of catalog replacement or server change, update the connection strings from the InDesign module.
