🧱 Edit Composition
The Edit Composition window allows you to view and modify in detail the internal structure of a composition. Each row represents an item or component that belongs to the selected composition, with the respective quantities, dimensions, and reference columns.
📋 Table structure
Field | Description |
Line | Progressive row number. Rows can be reordered by dragging the ⠿ icon on the left. |
Code | Article or component code included in the composition. It must match a valid item code present in the database. |
Qty. | Quantity of each component to include in the composition. |
Col1-Col5 | Free fields available for specifying column codes or technical references (e.g., materials, categories, or subfamilies). |
W. | Length of the component (in cm). |
H. | Height of the component. |
D. | Depth of the component. |
UM | Unit of measure (e.g., pcs, cm, sqm). |
Actions (⋮) | Sidebar menu that allows you to edit or delete a row. |
➕ Add a new row
To add a new component to the composition:
1. Click the + Add row button at the top right.
2. Enter the required data:
• Item code
• Quantity
• Any columns
• Dimensions (W/H/D)
• Unit of measure
3. Press Save to confirm.
New rows are automatically added to the bottom of the table and can be reordered via drag & drop.
✏️ Edit and reorder rows
Reordering: drag the rows using the ⠿ icon to change the sequence of components.
• Edit: click on the ⋮ icon to update the row values.
• Deletion: from the ⋮ menu, you can remove the component from the composition.
The system automatically saves the updated order and uses it in all connected functions (price lists, notes, configurator, etc.).
⚙️ Advanced Features
• Dynamic drag & drop: the order of the rows determines the reading sequence of the composition in exports or calculation processes.
• Logical columns: the fields Col1–Col5 can be used to map price list columns, materials, or other technical information.
• AI module compatibility: dimensional data (W, H, D) are used by DeepSpace and Pricelist Vision to generate automatic graphical or textual representations.
• Automatic validation: during saving, the system checks the validity of codes and units of measure.
🧠 Operational Tips
• Keep item codes consistent with those in the database.
• Always use standardized units of measure (pcs, cm, mm, sqm).
• If a line has no measurements, leave the values at zero to avoid calculation errors.
• Reorder lines logically (e.g., structures first, then accessories).
• After significant changes, check the preview of the composition in the main module.
🔗 Integration with Other Modules
• Items: the entered codes correspond to elements of the item registry.
• Calculation Sheets: can be generated directly from the compositions.
• Notes and Quotes: each composition can be added as a predefined group of rows.
• DeepSpace / Vision: utilizes dimensional data for automatic generation of 3D or AI visualizations.
