✏️ Edit Composition Line
The Edit Row window allows you to update the data of a single component within a composition. It is useful for correcting quantities, measurements, or technical references without having to modify the entire composition table.
📋 Info Sheet
Field | Description |
Item Code | Identify the item to which the line refers. It must match a code present in the item database. |
Quantity | Number of pieces or units to include in the composition. |
Column 1 – 5 | Free fields that can contain technical references, categories, materials, or price list codes. |
Length (L) | Length of the component in centimeters. |
Height (H) | Height of the component. |
Depth (D) | Depth of the component. |
Unit of Measure (UM) | Select the unit of measure associated with the component (e.g., Piece, Meter, Square meter, etc.). |
🧾 Description Tab
In the Description tab (second tab of the window), you can:
• enter a detailed textual description of the component included in the composition. You can use TraduTron AI for automatic translations.
💾 Available actions
Button | Description |
Save | Confirm the changes to the row and automatically update the composition table. |
Cancel | Closes the window without applying changes. |
⚙️ Additional Features
• Automatic validation: the system checks the correctness of the item code and numerical values.
• Compatibility with AI and translations: descriptive data is used by Melchior and TraduTron to generate consistent automatic texts.
• Real-time synchronization: every saved change immediately updates the main composition, preventing conflicts.
• Dynamic fields: columns can be used flexibly based on project or client needs.
🧠 Operational Tips
• Always keep the quantity consistent with the actual number of components.
• If a line is temporary or for testing, note it in the description.
• Avoid duplicating codes already present in the same composition.
• If the measurements are not yet final, leave them at zero: the system will accept the save but will flag them as incomplete.
🔗 Integrations
• Compositions → the row is part of a composition defined in the main module.
• Items → the data is linked to the item master data.
• DeepSpace / Vision → the dimensional fields (W, H, D) are used for generating 3D models or AI images.
• Price Lists and BOMs → composition rows can be included in price list calculations or automatic BOMs.
